    Outdoor ED Band Camps & Year-End Trips

    Take your classroom outdoors to experience nature and outdoor education at its best. We specialize in providing adventures and activities your students won’t experience on the school yard or in the city. For band camps we also offer multiple rehearsal areas for focused ‘section practices’.

    What activities are offered?

    Outdoor activities encourage kids to learn kinesthetically through unique experiences. This facilitates confidence, team building, and friendships. Our fully-certified staff will lead activities and work with your teachers to create memorable experiences that boosts your curriculum.

    Camp Evergreen is equipped with a variety of amenities to suit the needs of your learning experience. We have plenty of indoor spaces for learning, games, and practicing instruments.

      The spacious dining room can double as an indoor activity space between meals.

      The Activity Centre is our largest indoor area and built for everything from indoor relay races to full band rehearsals.

      Our 10 newly built cabins are each equipped with small sitting areas, perfect for small study sessions or small group rehearsal space.

      General Store

      Growing from our small tuck shop, our Moose Junction General Store offers everything from deodorant to skittles.

      • Basic needs – deodorant, toothpaste, ear plugs
      • Snacks – chocolate bars (nut free) and candy
      • Souvenirs, clothing and swag

    Where will we sleep and what will we eat?

    You won’t be roughin’ it here! All of our accommodations are clean, warm and ready to charge your iPhone. We can accommodate over 150 overnight guests in our selection of detached cabins and dorm-style rooms.

      Cabins

      Our ten newly built cabins can sleep up to 12 people. A sliding wall can create two smaller rooms or one large room, with bunk beds that can accommodate adults and children.

    • Outdoor
      Washrooms

      With the heated washroom block just steps away from the cabins, students can shower and ‘Axe up’ without fumigating the cabins.

    • In-Lodge
      Dorms

      Our dorm-style rooms are located in the upper floor of the Lodge. These rooms are conveniently located with the dining hall downstairs and washrooms down the hall.

    • Traditional
      Cabins

      For a more rustic experience, our traditional cabins can house 6 people each and keep you nice and cozy while still providing a nostalgic outdoor experience.

    • Home-cooked
      Meals

      Our Food Services Director Justin Willms is convinced he can change your mind on what you consider "camp food" to be like. He plans every menu with a lot of heart and a whole lot more home-cooked goodness. Dietary allergies can be accommodated.

    What safety measures are in place?

    At Camp Evergreen we take safety seriously and ensure that the following certifications are in place:

    • Program staff have current Standard First Aid certificates and have gone through yearly Safe Place Policy training.
    • Staff and volunteers have current Criminal Record Checks with Vulnerable Sector Searches on file.
    • Staff are trained in a one week course which covers crisis management, curriculum instruction, group and behavioral management, and safety instruction.
    • Annual inspections by an approved vendor of the Association of Challenge Course Technology, and a 40 hour staff training program to work the Challenge Course
    • Camp Evergreen is also a member in good standing with the Alberta Camping Association

    Enjoy big activities in the wild outdoors! We specialize in providing nature enriched activities for team building, self development and new experiences. We also have hundreds of acres of land, multiple fire pits, hiking trails and a large creek – everything you need for your outdoor adventure!

    Our unique mix of the outdoors paired with amazing activities like horseback riding and a high-ropes course creates an unforgettable experience for leaders and youth alike.
